Privacy information

Still Atlas is published by Jiawei Liu. For privacy questions, email mustangliu42@gmail.com.

This page describes the app’s local listening features, this support site and information you choose to send by email. Information updated: 19 October 2026.

Listening records stay on your device

The app stores favorites, places opened, saved playback position, listening dates and counts, daily selections and recent selection impressions in local preferences. Language, appearance and the selected sound scope are also saved locally. Map view, search and other browsing filters are retained during the current browsing session.

These records support favorites, paused continuation and on-device recommendations. Restoring a saved position does not automatically start playback. The app does not upload this listening history to a publisher server or a model-inference service. It has no account system, advertising SDK or publisher analytics service.

Permissions and network services

The app does not request access to your current location, microphone, contacts or photo library. Available recordings and photographs are bundled for offline use. Apple MapKit supplies map backgrounds over the network; Apple’s handling of its services is described in Apple Maps & Privacy. The app’s place markers do not require your current location.

If you open a creator, source or license link, the destination website handles that request under its own policies. If you export a supported material copy, the iOS or iPadOS share interface lets you choose where to send or save it; that destination’s handling applies.

Managing local data and backups

Removing a favorite removes that saved item. Local app data remains until you change or remove it, or delete the app installation. Offloading an app can keep its documents and data. Device or iCloud backups may retain a copy and restore it later; manage backups through your Apple settings. Still Atlas does not operate its own cloud synchronization or an account-deletion service.

See Apple’s explanation of offloading and deleting apps. Deleting the app is not needed to contact support.

Email you choose to send

If you email support, Jiawei Liu receives your sender address, message and any attachments you include. The published support address uses Gmail; Google processes that service under its privacy policy. You choose what to send. Please do not include passwords, private recordings or unnecessary personal information.

For the publisher, support correspondence is handled only by Jiawei Liu and used only for support, privacy or copyright requests. Once a matter is resolved, emails that are no longer needed are deleted. On a removal request, the request is verified and copies under Jiawei Liu’s control are deleted. This process does not guarantee removal from Google’s backups.

For a question or request about correspondence you have sent, including a request to remove it, email mustangliu42@gmail.com. App listening history is not automatically attached to support email. Google describes its own storage and deletion practices in How Google retains data.
